Ahh yes, the famous pisang goreng and deep fried ‘nian gao’ stall draws a big crowd everyday. The secret ingredient they say is the specially imported pisang Raja all the way from Pahang. On top of that the fresh out of the wok deep fried nian gao or kuih bakul as they call it is also a crowd pleaser.

I walked by this place by accident many years ago when I used to take the mono rail at KL Sentral to work and I never figured how he got his goreng pisang to be so sweet.
Always thought he added sugar, but recently talked to the owner’s son and he said it’s because they use Pisang Raja(?) that’s why it comes out so sweet and tasty..
