With all the food we have to offer in Malaysia, there’s really no limit to the choices we have to choose from. The amount of food in Malaysia is astounding, with more than 20,000 restaurants within Selangor and Kuala Lumpur state alone. (Albeit not all the restaurants serves ‘Malaysian food’)
Well I’ve always wanted to ask our readers what their favourite Malaysian food was and now’s the chance.

I’ll start with a few:
1. Maggi goreng at the mamak next to Damansara Uptown police station
2. Tung Fun
3. Roti Tisu at this mamak in kota damansara
4. Pork noodles
5. That blue and white glutinous rice they serve with kaya (?)
6. Siew pau (from Seremban)
7. Egg tarts (also from Seremban)
8. Curry Laksa
9. Garlic naan
10. Pork Trotter

12. Thosai telur + cheese ( sounds gross i know..but its nice)

its chicken version of bak kut teh right? mmm durian! probably best in moderation, especially since its really hot theses days!
i’d go with:
1) kaya toast… mmmm with the thin slices of bread
roti chanai… banjir! with lots of chicken curry gravy
2) kl hokkien mee… delicious!
3) Bak kut teh.. with yao char kwai of course
4) egg tarts.. especially the ones with the flaky pastry
5) cendol… melaka’s cendol, superb!
6) sarawak laksa… i can have it literally everyday
7) wan tan mee… with char siew… drool
9) nasi lemak… lotsa sambal too
10) wat tan hor… i like the one in imbi

Teoh Chew stewed duck, hard boiled egg and taufoo
Roast Pork at Wong Kee, Pudu with price discounts
Pig innards soup ( with a Lipanthyl to neutralise the LDL )
Hokkien mee from KL with deep fried fatty bits and a raw egg ( with 2 Lipanthyl pill ! )
Soi Cow ( giant dumpling from wantan mee vendor )
Pan Mee with thin cut pieces of the dough, not the rough tear ones
Barbecued meats cut in thicker slices ( hate the stingy tiny cut pieces of most vendors )
Roasted pig cheek meat
Carbonara pasta with blue cheese
Blanched prawns
Steamed fish of most species ( Cantonese style )
Very caramalised char siew
Curry pineapple from Shangri-la hotel
PJ Hilton Japanese Buffet…….

And of course Bak Kut Teh… but with light clear soup, generous portion of taufoo pok, with individual bowls of selected cuts, not the one- with-all clay pot version. Yam rice to go with.
Pig trotters which have been cooked very tender with black sauce and meat, skin all falling apart ( also requires another Lipanthyl pill ). Add in sea cucumber, yummy yummy!
