Pasar Besar Seremban – Tow Kee Hakka Mee & Sin Yee Kee Beef Noodles
Welcome to Seremban! Seremban is the capital of Negeri Sembilan and as with other places, it has a big market that sells all sorts of goods and food. As you can guess, we were here for the food, particularly to try their Hakka Mee and Beef Noodles.

Pasar Besar Seremban
One floor up above the wet market is a big food court with a variety of stalls. As with a lot of the wet markets, the smell of meat and live animals can be quite overwhelming for those who are not familiar with it.

Busy Market Atmosphere
First stall that we tried was Tow Kee Hakka Mee. The original shop nearby at Jalan Kepitan Tam Yeong was closed when we were there so thankfully this one was open. Tow Kee Hakka Mee has been well established for many years specialising in this tantalizing dish.

Tow Kee
The home-made noodles are chewy and are topped off with some minced meat. It makes for a simple dish, but it is the fresh ingredients that make the dish taste very good. We could have definitely gone for another bowl of noodles.

Hakka Mee
It comes with clear soup and to give it more spice, it is also accompanied by soya sauce and green chillis.

Next is Sin Yee Kee Seremban Beef Noodles which has been selling Beef Noodles since the 1960’s. In this family run business which has even expanded overseas, this shop manages to maintain it’s standards throughout the years. The shop is open at 8am till 3pm.

Shop 748 - Beef Noodles
The Seremban Beef Noodles were quite bouncy and were covered in thick slick gravy and sprinkled with some sesame seeds.
