FT: Japin Ramen, Sungei Wang Plaza
Japin was started by the Leows, a husband and wife team who had studied and worked in Japan for 6 years and who both had a passion for the Japanese style of cooking. After coming back to Malaysia, the Leows decided to develop their very own unique concept which soon lead them to the opening of the very first Japin outlet in Penang in year 2002.
Their first foray into the Klang Valley saw them open a Japin outlet in Sungei Wang Plaza in July of 2009.
The whole Feedmelah.com team went for this food tasting, with each of us ordering a different bowl of noodles to try a variety of their offerings.
I went for the ‘Chaysu Japin Ramen’ which had ramen with roasted pork in a rich soup broth. It’s been a while since I’ve had ramen and the first thing I noticed was that the soup broth had a more ‘herbal’ taste than regular ramen. (more…)
