West 57th Street Cafe, Zang Toi, Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur
We recently got invited to West 57th Street Cafe on one faithful Saturday. We arrived at Parkson Pavillion around noon, our stomachs rumbling prepared for the meal that we were to eat.

Banana Cafe Catering Service
During one of the festives seasons, we had an open house. And we decided to give this new caterer, Banana Cafe Catering, a try.It is a family owned catering service.

Beautiful decorations
The caterers came earlier and started setting up the place with the decorations they brought. I must say I was very impressed with the decorations. I wasn’t expecting much, maybe a simple floral centrepiece, but they came with like flowers, candles, tall vases and even a chest.

FoooOOOOOoooD
I also really love the food. It was all very well done and presented. I can’t remember off the top of my head what we ordered that day but it was a mix between asian and western. I remembered some otak otak which you can see in the picture above, wrapped in pandan leaves, thai style fish ( loved it), fried calamari, fried noodles…etc.

Roast Lamb
We also ordered roast lamb which the caterers actually pre-roasted at their shop before bringing it over. The lamb was tender and juicy and it came with the usual mint and brown sauce, and also an additional tomato based sauce which was made using the lamb bones ( so you can imagine just how tasty it was).

Banana chocolate cake
Last but not least, for dessert it was their special chocolate banana cake. This was a sell out. It finished so fast. The cake is very nice and moist and you can really taste the banana and chocolate together. It was great.
All in all, the total cost for the catering was
RM18 per pax
RM 40 per cook and waiters
RM600 Roast lamb + Salad + Sauce + Garlic Bread
To me, this is well worth it!

Roast Lamb, K.K.Kafeteria, Catering Service
Planning on having a Christmas party or an open house this coming festive season? Well, why not treat your guests to some roast lamb, right from your backyard (or driveway).
Not long ago, I held a party at my house for my grandma’s 80th birthday and we decided to have some roast lamb instead of the typical fried bee hoon, curry chicken and fried rice dinner.
This is where Uncle Robert comes into the picture. He is with the 3K caterers and specializes in roasting lamb. Our party was to start at 630pm in the evening so he had to come in earlier to start.
By 3pm he came knocking with his lamb and roasting pit and started roasting…and roasting…and roasting the lamb, and, its hard work I tell you but all worth it in the end. Not long later, the smell of roasting meat will start wafting through the house and down the street tantalizing not only your taste buds but the neighbors as well.
By 6pm, while he was turning the lamb, people out for their usual evening walk start slowing down when passing my house just to catch a glimpse or a whiff of the roasting lamb.
And by 630 sharp, Uncle Robert began carving the lamb and laying out with mint sauce and brown sauce to serve. The lamb became the centre of attention, and not my grandma (poor thing) and the lamb was done to perfection. I’m not exaggerating here, the meat was tender and juicy and cooked just right.
He also serves hainanese chicken rice (roast/steam chicken) together with the lamb. Its kinda like a dinner package. All in all, the total cost came up to RM740 (Ex Chicken rice), which is not bad, considering the amount of meat we got and also his time roasting it.
So if you are having a party and in the mood for lamb. Here’s the number to call:
