With the recent hot weather here in PJ, its good to know that there is a place to go when you want something to cool down. As its name suggests, snowflakes is quaint little shop situated in Selayang Mall, where you can get good flavoured shaved ice. Opened by our two friends Christine and Jun Hoe, this place has been up and running for a few months already.
Be spoilt for choice and make your pick on which flavour you want by looking on the menu hanging on the wall. They have strawberry flavoured ice,mango, chocolate,kiwis..mmm. The average price for one is RM4.50.
As usual, being a girl, I went for the the strawberry blossom blizzard. Its vanilla ice, topped with strawberry syrup and strawberries and sprinkled with little tiny heart shaped sugar icing. On a hot day, this is definitely refreshing.
We also tried nastylicious, with chocolate flavoured ice with milo powder, chocolate syrup and chocolate chips. A real chocolate overload, but it didn’t come out extremely sweet as I thought it would. It was just nice.
And with the name called ‘ THE HULK’ we decided to give it a go as well. Vanilla flavoured ice, with kiwi syrup and freshly sliced kiwis. Go for this if you want to feel refreshed and healthy at the same time as kiwis are packed with vit C.
If the weather keeps up like this, i’m sure I’ll be heading back to snowflakes for more ice. Its just too hot nowadays.
