‘Safe’ Sex.

No, these are NOT bracelets.

It’s a hot topic I know. But the melamine scandal continues.

In a previous post, we saw how Malaysia and Singapore reacted to melamine contaminated foods but now even people as far away as the United Kingdom are feeling the effects, although not how you might expect it.

This almost sounds too fake to be true, but Ann Summers, a sex shop chain in the UK have started to pull some of their chocolate based products off their shelves.

“The Food Standards Agency issued an alert over chocolate willy spread, a related nipple spread and a novelty pen set, which contains a chocolate-flavoured body pen, all of which were imported from a Chinese manufacturer called Le Bang.”

Le Bang? Willy spread? Nipple spread? Like I said, it’s almost too funny to be true.

The European food safety body have been putting restrictions on products that contain 2.5mg of Chinese milk per kilogram of product. The Ann Summers play toys contained as much as 259mg per kilo.

The products were not found to actually be contaminated, but they were still pulled from the store shelves as a precautionary measure…

It’s good to know that they are encouraging ‘safe’ sex isn’t it? [The Guardian], [Photo]
