One of our favourite pork noodle places is in Brickfields, at this kopitiam. The pork noodles is called Peter’s pork noodles and is a family owned stall. We just love coming here because there’s no queue and the food arrives pretty fast. And of course most important of all is that the pork noodles is down perfectly everytime we have it.
Not only does it come with poach egg, mince pork, vegetables, liver they also throw in some pretty generous or rather sizeable serve of ‘Ju yau ja’ aka deep fried pork lard. MMMmmmmm. Everything always taste better with ju yau ja ![]()
Also famous here is the curry laksa. I love this curry laksa because it reminds me of my primary school days. The curry is not too spicy and there’s lots and lots of ‘liew’ (ingredients) thrown in. Though abit pricy RM5 per bowl, but when you look at the amount of noodles, fish balls, fish cake, tau fu pok, long beans and shredded chicken put in, I do think it’s worth it.
Other worthy stalls to try here is the Char KwayTeow and also the famous Moorthy’s Banana Leaf rice.
Suggest you use your GPS to find this place because it’s pretty hidden. Else, just ask around for Moorthy’s banana leaf, i’m sure they’ll be able to point you in the right direction. It’s basically a coffeeshop behind the row of shops facing the entrance to KL Sentral.

Laksa looks pretty good! Geez..and I thought RM5 would be pretty reasonable. Guess I have lost touch with Malaysian food

The laksa was pretty good. Yea, the prices in KL has gone up quite alot. A few years ago you can still get a bowl of noodles for RM3.80 easily.
