Thinking of a place to have a wholesome meal of nasi lemak or some place to take first time visitors to Malaysia. Then this is an introduction to a favourite dish amongst many Malaysians, Nasi Lemak.
Traditionally, Nasi Lemak is wrapped in banana leaf. Inside you would find small dried anchovies, roasted peanuts, half of a hard boiled egg and hot spicy sambal. To make the meal even more filling, it is usually accompanied with either chicken, cuttlefish or even beef rendang as shown below. The rendang was nice and tender and with the coconut rice, it made for the perfect lunch (plus the added fried egg to top things off, of course).

Well, when we got there they had ran out of the fried chicken so we didn’t get to eat any. But yea, I’ve heard the fried chicken is really good there. But next time, just have to get there earlier to get a bite of it.
