I love this restaurant’s name. Whoever thought about the name must be a genius. It’s actual name is ‘For Goodness Sake its a noodle bar’ so you can roughly tell what kind of food awaits you. This restaurant is actually an izakaya, roughly translated, Japanese drinking establishment which also serves food’.
You can find their menu on the wall by the entrance. Its not your typical Japanese restaurant with your usual set menus but a more ala carte type of Japanese restaurant. You get to sample a different variety of Japanese food like robatayaki as they have a long menu for that which you don’t find in most Jap places.
When seated you are treated to an appetizer ( on the house by the way), which was fresh chinese cabbage with a side of dipping sauce. Who would have thought cabbage would make a starter for a meal. But it tasted pretty good surprisingly. The cabbage was very fresh and the dip tasted like combination of Japanese soy sauce and the sweet popiah sauce. Sounds weird, but it didn’t taste too bad.
For starts we tried some of their appetizers. We had the sake maki which was their salmon avocado roll, Enoki Maki (golden straw mushrooms wrapped in beef and grilled) and their poteto sarada (potato salad). It was quite enjoyable, though it would be nice if the portions were bigger.
I tried their kamo sansai soba. Kamo is duck in Japanese. The broth used for this dish was very very tasty to the point where I wanted to finish the broth as well. It’s addictive I must warn you. It’s a dish I would relate to as comfort food.
We also tried the Tori Katsu Curry, basically Japanese curry with udon noodles. The curry was very thick, abit too thick for my liking but William begs to differ. He quite enjoyed this dish. It comes with your katsu (breaded chicken) on the side. He finished everything..;)
This is a nice place to come to if you are looking for a light Japanese snack. Alot of snacks and appetizers to choose from and a very interesting starter.

This place and the one next to it are actually under the same management. Food were okay, nothing to shout about but we like the entrance very much.
