Unfortunately, Steve couldn’t make it for the interview as we he was tied up with work responsibilities, so myself and Sue Ann went on instead.
The day started really early (hence the name ‘The Breakfast Show’) and we were met at the NTV7 studio (TV3 building next to 1 Utama) by one of their representatives where we were ushered into a waiting room.
After a short while we were asked to go put on makeup. I thought this was a female-only requirement and so I sat waiting in the waiting room.
1 minute later Sue Ann came back to get me and said, ‘Hey, they need you to come too.’
And hence, makeup was applied to me… not very manly, but hey, this is showbiz!
After a few of the other guests went on, it was then our turn to get microphones and prepare to go onto what I though was a massive stage.
At that point I didn’t realize how tired I was. Check out my eyebags…
What most people don’t know about the show is that it’s actually filmed in a green room and the background is added using CGI. We waited in this cold, small, extremely bright room with host Joanne De Rozario while another portion of the show was being shown to the audience.
As the clip finished, she started talking to the camera and only then did I realize we were on live. Good thing I didn’t ask her a question or stand up or anything, that would have been really embarrassing.
Joanne was really nice and friendly to us and we think the interview went pretty well… you can check out the whole thing below:
