Busy Busy Busy Corner

Every time I crave claypot rice, I head to Restaurant Busy Corner situated at the shoplots near KDU college. This place can get quite packed during dinner and lunch time cause of the many students livingĀ  nearby.

Let's see..what is there to eat?

Let's see, what shall we eat tonight?

We finally decided on the orders below for our dinner

Claypot Chicken Rice RM6.50

Claypot Prawn Rice RM13

Steamed Vegetables RM5

Steamed Soup RM4.50

Claypot Chicken Rice

Claypot Chicken Rice

Like all claypot chicken rice, it comes with its sidekick of ‘ham yu’ aka salted fish. Without it, it aint’ claypot chicken rice. I think the added kick in this nga poh fan is that they add fresh onions to the mix. It gives that the extra sweetness and because of the heat from the rice, it kinda slowly semi cooks the onions which works for me. I love it.

Prawn Claypot Rice

Prawn Claypot Rice

One of my favourite claypot rices of all, is this prawn claypot. I just love this because they are very VERY generous on the prawns. And i’m not talking tiny puny prawns but big succulent ones. To top it up they add tom yam paste to it, so when you mix it all up, you basically get tom yam prawn rice. Spicy and sweet (Onions)..MMMmmm

Steamed Soup , salted vegetable soup

To finish up, we ended our meal with some nice steamed soup. I’ve noticed the soup here has very little oil so its really healthy. I think its because its placed in a steamer after its made. Leaving it in the steamer really brings out the flavour of the soupĀ  and the longer it is in the steamer the more flavor. They have different kinds of soup including watercress, lotus root, peanut..etc. You will have to ask the lady boss whats available when you get there.

Come to this place if you are looking for good claypot rice. I always do!
