Chili’s at Suria KLCC

Chili’s Grill & Bar was founded by Larry Lavine in 1975 and with over 1400 outlets, Chili’s has established itself in the Malaysian market. There are several outlets located within Peninsula Malaysia, particularly in Penang, Mid Valley, Bangsar, One Utama and here in KLCC.

Chili’s serves American food influenced by Tex-Mex cuisine. You will find a variety of food from steaks and burgers to nachos like the one below. The Kickin’ Jack Nachos (RM21.95) is served with beans and queso with a hint of seasoned beef with jalapeno Jack cheese and Margarita spice. The cheese layers the entire cut of the nacho and dipping it with the sour cream and pico de gallo (Spanish for “rooster’s beak” ) is just heavenly.

Another favourite that I can’t seem to do without is the Mushroom-Swiss Burger. In between the sesame seed buns is a generous 200 grams portion of beef that is topped off with aged Swiss cheese, mayo, shredded lettuce and fresh sauteed mushrooms. Of course, the burger will also come with a side of homestyle fries.

The Fire-Grilled Jalapeno Steak Quesadillas has tender cuts of spicy jalapeno steak, melted pepper Jack cheese, jalapenos and fajita onions in a fire-grilled tortilla. As you may already notice, there is a serving of sour cream and pico de gallo which is a fresh mixture of mainly chopped onions, tomatoes and jalapenos dressed in lime or lemon juice.

Fire-Grilled Chicken & Portobello was slightly dry for my liking, but I did enjoy the mashed potatoes which were covered with beef bacon bits.

Do also note that if you are visiting this outlet, the queues may be rather long. Another option is to also have a seat at the bar.
