A friend from overseas made a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur and thinking of where to take him for our local cuisine whilst not overwhelming him straight away with the local street fare, Madam Kwan’s came into mind. Now established with several outlets across the Klang Valley, Madam Kwan’s serves up delectable local and international delights. On this night, we had local cuisine in mind.

Let’s start things off with the Nasi Bojari. This is their signature dish which is also found in Indonesia. The serving is decent and the coloured rice is complimented by assam prawns and shredded beef rendang or chicken rendang, both yummy. You also get a nice crispy fried chicken to go along with the meal. If you are spoilt for choice, then we would recommend you try this.

Now with the nasi lemak. Another must-try while you are here. As you can see, it is just oozing with flavoursome curry and it sure does settle in your stomach well. This make for a good meal whether it is for lunch or for dinner.
