Bayernhaus – German Food at Capital Square
As the name suggests, Bayernhaus serves up German delights in an interesting atmosphere. Situated in Capital Square, if you happen to be around the area and have a craving for meat, meat and more meat, then this could be a place of interest for you.

They have stacked up mini barrels in a little pyramid structure just next to the window. In this restaurant, you have the choice of sitting outside if it’s a nice cool night or you can also have air-coniditioning within the restaurant itself.

Mountains of Empty Beer Barrels
The Summer Salad (RM18) was our greens for the meal, although it did not make up for the amount of meat we devoured that night. With grilled chicken, onions, lettuce, tomatoes it also had a splash of balsamic vinegar.

This is the sausage set. As you can tell, it is a mountain of meat, neatly stacked and with sauces decorating the corner of the plate. You get sausages such as Bratwurst, Hungarian, Thueringer, nuerenbergerm, bacon and chorizo. Underneath all that meat is pan-fried potatoes and sauerkraut.

Next up, their pork knuckle. I have to say that this is one of the better pork knuckles I’ve had lately done in this style. The oversized pork knuckle is oven roasted and garnished with strips of bacon (which are also delicious) and a side of wedges and sauerkraut. With this meat, some would enjoy it with sauces; here they have it with natural pork gravy or bbq sauce.

Pork Knuckle
The BBQ set had more meat again. This time, it was a grilled platter of lamb, chicken, pork, streakyy bacon and sausage. If you are not too sure what to order, then this would cover most of the meats. Instead of wedges, this dish had fries which you can barely make out under all that meat.

BBQ Set
All in all, there was way too much meat, but somehow we managed to bring out the carnivores in us and wipe the plates clean.
