Email Interview with Pillow Talk with Bangsar-bAbE
Continuing with more Email Interviews from the the food blogging scene, we have the privilege of interviewing Pillow Talk with Bangsar-bAbE which explores local and other various cuisines.

1. Can you give us an introduction of yourself, when and how did you start out and what made you love food so much to start a blog about it?
I started blogging in November 2007 as a way to express my personal thoughts about food and to share the food places I go to. I used to write for a publishing company so I often did paid food reviews. When I went into advertising, I missed doing food reviews. Which is why I set up this blog: To write as much as I want about food, good and bad.
Growing up, I didn’t get much exposure on different types of food. My parents are health conscious, so food at home is often steamed. And they are creatures of habit, so whenever we ate out, it was at the same restaurant and the same dishes! When I first tried spicy food, my stomach went bonkers! And for the longest time, I was scared of sashimi because I never ate raw food until I was 18!
Luckily, rif (my boyfriend) is a food lover so he opened my eyes to a world of good food. I’ve never looked back since.
2. Having run your food blog for a number of years, what do you believe is the key factor of keeping the audience entertained and coming back to your site?
I think my honest opinions and slight humour in my writing is what keeps people coming back. Plus, having lots of pictures helps.

3. What is your favourite food of all time?
Wat Tan Hor (Cantonese Fried Kuay Teow). I can eat it everyday. Once, I ate it for lunch, dinner and supper! My friends and colleagues think I’m nuts!

4. What is your favourite restaurant of all time?
I don’t have a favourite restaurant in particular. I love going anywhere and everywhere to eat. However, any restaurant that serves a good plate of Wat Tan Hor will have me coming back for more!

5. Currently, what is one tip about food blogging you would give to new food bloggers?
Photos are very important. People like seeing good pictures of food. Also, it is important not to write too long. Most readers like succinct writing. So K.I.S.S (Keep It Short & Sweet). And always be yourself, everyone has their own style of writing.
6. What do you think about the food culture we currently have in Malaysia?
Malaysia is a melting pot of gastronomical goodness. I think we are lucky to have so much food available, 24 hours a day! I especially love the back alley stalls. The food’s good and cheap!

7. Your final thoughts about food you’d like to share with the Feedmelah.com! readers?
Always eat well. Food makes people happy! =D
