Selera Utara,Mee Rebus, Damansara Kim
By Sue Ann at October 26, 2010 | 8:00 am | 1 Comments
This is one of my parent’s favourite place for Mee Rebus. They claim that this is one of the best places around for mee rebus. To be honest, I’m not a huge mee rebus fan, so if they say its good, I thought I should check it out for myself. This mee rebus stall is located in D’sara Kim, in the row of shop stalls just down the road from the Damansara Specialist center. Its the same place where they sell the famous fish head noodles and Jenny Hong Tau fu fa. So we each ordered a mee rebus which came in a plate. And I must admit, its not bad. For those...

Last Friday, we got invited to the 1 week launch of Cinnamon coffee house’s ‘Seoul Good’ Korean cuisine food fiesta. This was then followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony by Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong after which we took it as ‘Let the feasting begin’. We first start feasting with our eyes, and the first...
Moorthy’s Mathai Indian Rice, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur
By Sue Ann at October 13, 2010 | 8:00 am | 1 Comments
We heard of this place from one of our family friends, Moorthy’s Indian Rice. This is not your typical indian banana rice place because it is is a chinese hawker center surrounded by stalls selling, char kway teow, wan tan mee, curry mee and then there’s Moorty’s Inidan rice. It has all the varieties of an indian rice stall with the usual sides of fried potatoes, pickled cucumbers, papadam and a wide selection of friend chicken, rendang, fried seafood to choose from. Just let them know that you want a portion of banana leaf rice and then they will...
Godiva Chocolatier, Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur
By William at October 8, 2010 | 8:00 am | 3 Comments
We were very lucky to be invited to Godiva in Pavilion to sample some of their chocolates and cakes and we were absolutely delighted when we received the invite since Godiva is known to be the cream of the crop, our literally the ferrari of chocolates here in Malaysia. Godiva was actually founded in Brussels, Belgium by a man named Jospeh Draps. The little logo of the naked woman of the horse is actually a picture of lady Godiva. Legend has it that lady Godiva once rode naked on horseback through the city so that the Earl at that time will not levy...

On the way back from Penang island, we were told of this famous teochew seafood restaurant serving up great seafood in Nibong Tebal. Of course, as foodies we went there guided by our local Penang family friend, and not long after exiting Penang island did we find ourselves in NT Cheang Kee. NT standing for Nibong Tebal :) This place opens for lunch at 12pm, and by 1215pm, this is the view from inside the restaurant. Packed to the brim! We knew we were at the right place. First up, OCTOPUS!! Ok, one look at that dish and some people will feel abit...
