We've been so busy lately and with all the news about MJ's untimely death, Swine Flu, sports news and other things, we didn't even realize that The Star Newspaper took another one of our articles and featured it in the Sunday Metro! This is the second time (read our original feature here) we’ve been featured in The Star and we only found out about it when Fatboybakes of http://fatboybakes.blogspot.com/ left a comment in our post telling us about it. Thanks for letting us know! You can see the full article, which is about The Wok, Kota Damansara on The...
Restoran Lan Je – Tilapia in Kota Damansara
By Steve at June 28, 2009 | 12:00 am | 3 Comments
On one of the very hot afternoons over the weekend, we decided to try out Restoran Lan Je which has been made famous for their steamed black tilapia. This is one of the outlets; having two other ones in Rawang and Balakong. With the original branch located in Rawang and having been in operation for several years, they have opened this branch in Kota Damansara. So for those not looking to travel too far for steamed tilapia, then this might be an option for you. We’ve recently gotten our own Twitter account for the site. For those of you who don’t know, Twitter is a new social media site which is all the rage around the world. Twitter is currently being used by a whole range of celebrities and organisations to connect to people, including President Obama, Ashton Kutcher and even CNN. Twitter is used in Parliament to tell us what the politicians are saying, in Iran to tell us what’s happening on the streets, in New York to show us a picture of a plane floating on the Hudson river… With Twitter we hope to...

By William at June 18, 2009 | 10:30 am | 4 Comments
" Uncle Soon Guan (SG) became a Chartered Accountant to avoid inheriting his father's business as a noodle vendor which gives only a tough life. He grew up with operators of all kind of street food (his father's friends), which has given him an extensive knowledge and love for the subject. " From a Cameron Highland website I came to know about this world famous café, the T café. Its along Main Road, Tanah Rata above Marrybrown the fast food restaurant through a side entrance. On the Saturday we arrived at lunch time, quite a number of tables were...

By William at June 16, 2009 | 10:00 am | 9 Comments
Feedmelah.com was recently interviewed on the NTV7 breakfast show, where we talked about restaurants, food and why we started the food blog and restaurant directory in general. With the publicity from The Star Newspaper and The Malay Mail, it's really been a fast and furious start for our site in the last 9 months and being seen on TV just adds to it! Unfortunately, Steve couldn’t make it for the interview as we he was tied up with work responsibilities, so myself and Sue Ann went on instead. The day started really early (hence the name ‘The Breakfast...

A while back, we had the privelege to attend a food bloggers night which was held at the Nagomi branch in Menara Hap Seng. [caption id="attachment_3509" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Food Bloggers Night at Nagomi"][/caption] Like a celebrity event, there were plenty of food bloggers who enjoyed the night out. [caption id="attachment_3549" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="A whole lot of signatures"][/caption] We made our first mark of the night on the signatures sheet, and were about to gain more recognition for Feedmelah.com in the other...
Frames, TTDI Plaza, Taman Tun
By William at June 10, 2009 | 4:00 pm | 6 Comments
Me and my girlfriend Lynn were looking for a nice quiet place for a sit down lunch over one of the weekends. We finally decided on Frames at TTDI Plaza. I’ve walked passed it a few times before and have been quite fascinated the cafe walls are literally arranged with frame after frame of photo frames. As you can see from the pictures, the walls are just lots and lots of pictures framed in the same frames. The pictures are actually taken by the Asha Carlos who also does photography full time. The pictures are beautiful and are a refreshing way to keep you...
Let’s Go Mamak… Again!
By William at June 8, 2009 | 10:30 am | 3 Comments
It sounds like a war cry for Feedmelah.com right? Let’s Go Mamak… Again! But it’s actually the name of a group of jazz and ethnic instrument players, who will be playing at the KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) in July. We know this is a food blog, but with a name like ‘Let’s Go Mamak’, we just couldn’t resist writing a post about them. But more than that, one of our friends is the pianist in the group (Tay Cher Siang), an extremely talented individual, whose fingers dance along his instrument at extremely high speeds. Let’s Go...
